I keep thinking that with merely an added consonant, “D,” the new “cut it out” agency could be called DODGE. RAM? However, what exactly is this new agency? We are told what it is but Elon and Vivek are not politicians, yet. The popular belief is that it is because they are not politicians anything they say will be both useful and might even be final judgement as to what is cut. Doesn’t this sound a bit odd?
We all want our government streamlined and our taxes lowered, that is obvious. There are many ways to install a washer in a faucet but only one doesn’t break things and make three times as much work to do the same thing over. The other analogy that comes to mind is that no matter how brilliant a third grader may be you don’t want that third grader behind the wheel of a Ferrari and then hand him the keys.
I come here having begun a business without knowing the ins and outs of doing business. I, therefore, made a ton of rookie mistakes and then got an understanding of how dumb I had been, admitted same to myself, and succeeded . . . finally. That was years ago but a truism is a truism. The thing is, I have no control so I can only hope that Trump will retain control of this duo.
Cutting is great but you don’t throw away the steaks and keep the bones. Not if you want to stay in business, that is.
