I always find it fascinating to see who a new president picks for which positions in the government. I love his pick of Marco Rubio as the first Hispanic Sec. of State but am still wondering about Pete Hegseth as Sec. of Defense. That is quite a promotion from FOX news to Defense! I am on the fence about this one.
I probably have no reason to worry as I have to look at the president and, unlike progressive and obtuse pundits, I find that Trump makes pretty darned sound decisions, especially now that he already has four years to grasp the sludge that is D.C. I’m also out on his pick for Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, as I have never heard of her other than she appears to have done a great job with Trump’s campaign.
The other question I always have is how long these picks will last. Trump hit the floor running and I don’t think the enemy press is going to be able to keep up with him.
Add to this that the ratings for CNN and MSNBC are now in the toilet after all the lies they finally got acknowledged that they were culpable of over the past ten years and I think we have an interesting four years coming up. Hoorah!
Now, Vivek and Elon are interesting and just a bit scary. D.O.G.E. (Dept. of Government Efficiency) is not yet a Dept. and who knows what will take place in the first 90 days of Trump’s presidency but, shrinking this government, so over-bloated since Jimmy Carter and other fools in office, is a good thing, if done right. Right is being surgical, not nuclear. There is good that comes out of government aid but the waste is overwhelming which negates the good. Kind of like having a bowl of soup minus the bowl.
