I phrase this article as “gentle.” A novel I am reading is about a gentleman and a lady. It is written by Sean Russell and is in the genre of fantasy. I have a tendency, in this world, to read Tolkienesque works. Above this desire, however, is the Bible. Either way, such treatises welcome my brain into a place that is unlike our world for ours is not a gentle world. It never has been unless you look back to the “Garden.” The “Garden of Eden” where, to my mind, this all began.
In the beginning, according to the Bible, there were no thorns or nettles and the Earth provided all we needed to sustain ourselves. A world created to be gentle and mankind with no needs. All was provided. How far from this we have traveled. Original designs is how I phrase this.
Of course, it is the “original sin” that sentenced all of us to what we now have. Taking largess for granted as is our wont then and now. How far we have fallen but not without hope. Hope to once again have Eden. It is now hidden, you know? Eden. An angel stands at the gate allowing us no view of what once was but will be again. This is the reason that Jesus came and was sacrificed: perfection for perfection. Jesus came from Heaven in the form of a man to save us all from eternal damnation. A selfless act of love and kindness.
Today, as has been prophesied, believers are few and it is for this reason that our world, run by us, is in turmoil. Pundits and “experts” will disagree and when they do they are not disagreeing with me, they are disagreeing with God. This is also how far we’ve come and it has been a monumental downhill slide into oblivion. Just look around with opened eyes and ask yourselves, What is missing? With a smidgen of thought you will see that it is God who has been relegated to a dark basement room while we mount neon signs for pleasure and drop bombs on our fellow man.
I told you I was odd. Join me?
