It took a lot of years to be frank about this thought I finally formulated. It careened about the inside of my head for a few decades and then suddenly jelled and became real. Kind of like a ghost that you think you see but when you look there’s nothing there. Actually, that applies to me as a whole most of the time. I am here but I am not here, kind of deal. Call it senility, I don’t mind.
At first I didn’t meld what was two thoughts into one and then, as time went on and I became more “sophisticated” I finally got it that it is one thing with two sections applied equally to it. Kind of like the granite on Mt. Rushmore. Some fine grain and some not. The “not” fine grained caused a major shift in the carving of the mountain because the wide grain wouldn’t work or hold up for longer than the next storm. Kind of like Kamala Harris who will never make it to Mt. Rushmore. Read into that what you will.
Imperfect human beings is what we are and that is the gist of all the aforementioned “round about.” Why do we expect to get it right when we have a built in propensity to get it wrong? Why do we expect so much from our fellow human beings when we reach our limit for perfection in thirty seconds? After that we all end up lucky not to lose a limb or have our heads caved in by falling from Mt. Rushmore. What were we seeking this lofty ambition for in the first place. Those guys on that mountain are dead and are no longer offering their services to anyone.
OK, it is pretty neat and a ton of effort and intellect to carve all those busts. How’d he do it? He paid attention and used his brain creatively. I can’t imagine Kamala being able to get out of her own way without tripping over Walz who is passed out on the floor. What gives with those two? Not a hell of a lot. Don’t vote for them unless you want China to run our country.
